Crunchy Dog Biscuits
Ingredients
- 3 cups parsley, chopped
- ¼ cup grated carrot
- ¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cups wholemeal flour
- ½ cup bran
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ cup water
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Line two trays with baking paper.
- In a large bowl, combine parsley, carrot, cheese and olive oil. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, bran and baking powder. Tip this mixture into the parsley mixture along with ¾ cup of water and mix well. Add more water if necessary to create a stiff dough.
- Tip dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll out to 8-10mm thick. Cut out your biscuits and place on prepared trays. Bake 50-60 minutes or until hard and crunchy.
Makes 26 biscuits with a 4x8cm cutter.
